Q - How can I get a quote?
A - There are a number of different ways to request a quote from us, either download the required documents from our downloads page and return them to us or simply give us a call on 0844 873 3663.
Q - How long does the quote process take?
A - Once you have submitted all the required information we will usually send you your quote within 48 hours.
Q - How long after I've accepted your quote can I start work?
A - We must complete an Initial Notice and await its acceptance by the Local Authority before you commence work appertaining to the Building Regulations, with your permission we can complete the Initial Notice on your behalf and submit it the same day. The Local Authority must be given 5 working days within which to consider the Initial Notice. The answer is to submit this notice early, there are no fees and we only require a small amount of information such as drainage layout and site plans.
Q - Do I have to have a Premier Guarantee warranty in place to use the Building Control Service?
A - For residential developments the Warranty Link Rule requires a warranty is in place on building works involving the creation by new build or conversion of any new dwellings for sale or private renting. Our building control fees are calculated to reflect the savings made by using our shared services so by using a Premier Guarantee warranty you could make substantial savings.
Q - I just want to use you for Building Control, is this acceptable?
A - Yes you can use us purely for Building Control, however under the Government's Warranty Link Rule where you undertake a residential development scheme you must have a designated warranty in place. The residential Building Control quote may have been subject to you taking out a warranty with Premier Guarantee, and unless this is chosen we may need to adjust the quote. Please note where this is the case we will require confirmation that another suitable warranty has been taken out.
Q - How much will building control cost?
A - Each development is quoted on an individual basis, taking into consideration the number of units and plot size (if over 250m2) Discounts are also available on larger sites. Get in touch for further information
